Her highest goal in her career is to establish harmony between neonatal nurses and neonatologists. It is very hard work to convince both sides that all are equal just working in little different speciality. Both sides nurses and doctors should be aware of important milestones in the care for neonates. Nurses must have background of physiology and pathophysiology together with possible treatment and doctors must be aware of nursing care possible to offer to our little patients. Both have to work together and coordinate whole care together without showing any superiority or submission of one or the other side. If we do not have good nurses, we can close our units because there are not enough doctors to change diapers and administer medication to all our patients. If we do not have our good doctors, we cannot treat our patients properly because there are procedures, we cannot do as nurses and we are not allowed to order all medications for our patients. Her message for all: “Let’s work together with respect and learn from each other to improve outcome for our little neonates!”
